BOTOX® Cosmetic injections

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein that is used in non-surgical, physician-administered aesthetic treatments for moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people ages 18 to 65. BOTOX® Cosmetic works by relaxing certain facial muscles that contract and cause persistent frown lines that have developed over time.

Restylane® and Perlane® injections

Restylane® and Perlane ® restore volume and fullness to the skin to soften moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth. It can also be used to enhance and shape the lips.

Radiesse® injections

Radiesse® is a safe, longer-lasting cosmetic dermal filler. It is used to fill and correct smile lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth.

Some Frequently Asked Questions:

Here are some answers to some of the most common questions about injectable procedures:

Q: Are aesthetic injectables such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, Restylane® , Perlane® and Radiesse® safe?"

A: The US Food and Drug Administration approve these products. This means that clinical data regarding their safety and effectiveness was reviewed extensively prior to their approval.

Q: How long do aesthetic injectable treatments last?

A: Treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers are temporary. BOTOX® Cosmetic effects can last up to four months, while the dermal fillers can deliver sustained results for up to six months or longer.

Q: Are injectable treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and dermal fillers painful?

A: Injections may cause some minor discomfort during and for a short time afterwards. Speak with your medical practitioner about pain-reducing options, such as a cold pack or numbing cream, which can be applied prior to your injection.

Q: Do aesthetic injectable procedures cause bruising or other side effects?

A: Following treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic, a small number of patients have reported minimal bruising around the injection site area, while the most common side effects following injection are temporary eyelid droop and nausea.

In clinical trials for dermal fillers, most side effects were mild to moderate in nature, and lasted 7 days or less. The most common side effects include – but are not limited to – temporary injection site reactions such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration.

Q: Will my face still have expression?

A: Of course. When an experienced medical practitioner administers this type of treatment, you can still smile, frown, and look surprised without those lines and wrinkles.
